On Sunday, June 09, 2019, at 11:00 am, Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel-President of the University of Zakho, and members of the University Council, warmly welcomed a delegate from Al Furat Alawsat Technical University and they held an official meeting in the presidency of the university. The delegate of Al Furat Alawsat Technical University consisted of Professor Dr. Abdulkazim Alyasri-President of Al Furat Alawsat Technical University and a number of their university council members.
In the process, they talked widely about the education process in the Kurdistan region and in Iraq in general. Then Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel-President of the University of Zakho talked about the stages of the progress of the University of Zakho, and the process of signing national and international agreements. After that, he talked about the implementation of the Bologna Process, in which the University of Zakho has succeeded in it.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between both universities for the purpose of the development of science and knowledge in Kurdistan. Then the exchange of academic staff, students, lecturers, and organizing capacity building programs was discussed.
